In Azeroth, players will encounter many different factions throughout the world. By completing certain quests or killing certain creatures, players are able to gain favor with some of these factions. Gaining reputation with certain factions allows players to purchase items or undertake quests that are unavailable to other players.
Popular fake news website The Onion has taken their World of Warcraft satire to a new level with their video on Blizzard’s next expansion: ‘World of World of Warcraft.’ In this ONN-created expansion, players get to control a player that’s playing World of Warcraft. You can control your character as he or she controls a WoW character. Doesn’t that sound exciting? Yes, yes it does.Check out the news clip for much hilarity and amusement.
Legendary Pictures has picked up the film rights to World of Warcraft, and in conjunction with Blizzard Entertainment will work toward developing the popular MMO for the silver screen. Not a lot of news is out yet on the subject, though it doesn’t look like plot-wise the film will follow any of the Warcraft games.
Legendary Pictures is responsible for such films as Batman Begins and the upcoming Superman Returns.
Is anyone surprised by this news? Not I. I wonder when City of Villains/Heroes will sell their film rights?
